Get in orders for St. Charles Park District native plant sale

Are you ready to start planning your spring lawn and garden projects? Consider adding native plants to your landscape and bring nature to your own backyard. Native plants offer many benefits!

Native plants support local wildlife that rely on native plants for food and shelter; and attract a wider variety of butterflies, moths, birds and other animals to your yard. The plants are adapted to the region and, once established, require less maintenance in terms of water and chemicals. They provide a variety of colorful blooms, fruits, seeds and shapes to give character to any landscape.

The St. Charles Park District has partnered with Natural Communities Native Plants to provide easy, convenient, online ordering, so you can shop from the comfort of your own home.

They are taking orders for its Native Plant Sale Fundraiser through 11:59 p.m. Sunday, May 5.

Ten percent of your purchase will help restore and maintain natural areas right here in St. Charles!

Pick-up will be held from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday, June 1, at St. Charles Park District Sportsplex, 1400 Foundry St. For questions, contact Natives@NaturalCommunities.net.
