Arlington Heights hydrant flushing begins April 29

Arlington Heights crews will begin their annual flushing of fire hydrants on April 29 - a process that will take 2½ weeks.

Flushing begins April 29-30 for neighborhoods between Sigwalt Street and Palatine Road; May 1-2 between Palatine Road and Hintz Road and between Sigwalt Street and Central Road; May 3-6 between Hintz Road and Dundee Road and between Central Road and Golf Road; and May 7-8 in areas north of Dundee Road and south of Golf Road to the village limits.

The flushing ensures hydrants are operable and have adequate flow rates for public safety, officials say.
