Cozen O'Connor Attorney Danielle Harris Selected as a Fellow to the 2019 National Employment Law Council Academy
Cozen O'Connor attorney Danielle Harris, an associate in the firm's Labor and Employment practice in Chicago, has been selected as a Fellow to the 2019 National Employment Law Council (NELC) Academy - for the second consecutive year. She is one of only 31 Fellows chosen nationwide to participate in this year's NELC Academy.
Harris is a third-year associate and her practice primarily consists of litigating single plaintiff employment cases and counseling clients with non-litigation employment matters.
NELC, a non-profit organization charged with enriching minority bar members who represent management in the field of labor and employment law, conducts a highly competitive process in selecting Academy Fellows from amongst the pre-eminent employment defense practices across the country.
Held in conjunction with NELC's annual conference, the NELC Academy provides advanced skills training for minority attorneys with less than five years of experience practicing management-side labor and employment law, exposes them to NELC's national network of experienced labor and employment attorneys and fosters mentoring relationships.
A native of Gurnee, Illinois, Harris received her undergraduate degree from Northern Illinois University, (B.S. magna cum laude, 2013) and her law degree from Chicago-Kent College of Law (J.D., 2016). Shortly after graduating from law school, she created the DNH Esquire Scholarship, which is donated to a graduating senior each year from her former high school, (Lake County Baptist School, in Waukegan, Illinois) where she was valedictorian.
