On Monday May 6 at 2pm or Saturday June 8, at 10 am, Cindy Bognar offers a fused glass class at which you can create your own yard art with beautiful large garden posies. Choose your flower colors and get them ready to be fused on long copper stems.

On Tuesdays at 6:30 pm during May and June, Debi Gajewski leads beginners in a series of Acrylic Painting Lessons. Each session teaches skills that build on each other while you create a new work each week. Paints and canvases are provided.

On Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. during May and June, Sigrid Wonsil, artist and teacher at Elgin Community College, offers 10 sessions that cover "100 MUST KNOW Artworks." If you've ever been curious about what makes a piece of art worth millions and its artist world famous, she will show through slides and movie clips examples of paintings, sculpture, architecture and photography of significance and reveal some little known facts about their creators. Reservations are required.

Pet Portraits are the subject of a beginner's painting class with Debi Gajewski at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 1. Just email a good color photo of your pet's face with no ornamentation (hats, ties, glasses) to thewonderfulwizardofart@hotmail.com by May 25.
