Churchill Elementary Teachers Flipping Burgers Instead of Pages to Raise Money at McTeacher's Night
Hoffman Estates Churchill Elementary School students gave teachers an A-plus on their fundraising efforts to support the School's PBIS program.
Teachers from Schaumburg School District 54 volunteered behind the counter on Wednesday, April 17th at the McDonald's located on 8203Higgins Road. The teachers worked hard to serve students and their families in a fundraiser for the Elementary School's PBIS Program.
Several teachers from Churchill worked during this three-hour event. Teachers Nattilino and Wolfe wore the Pie Costume while alongside them several teachers helped to sell the pies and enjoyed taking pictures with many of theChurchill Students.
The proceeds from the sale of pies went directly to benefit the school as well as twenty percent of the proceeds from the McTeacher's Night sales.
David Bear, Owner-Operator of the Hoffman Estates McDonald's, was delighted to participate in the worthy cause for education and the community.
"McTeacher's Night is part of McDonald's larger commitment to education and other important initiatives supporting families and the local community," Bear said.
"We are proud to serve the families of the Churchill community and through the McTeacher's Night event. In addition to helping provide financial support for our local schools, we help students feel connected to their school, their teachers and their sense of community."
David Bear donated a case of apple pies to the school for sale at the event. Inspired by the success of McTeacher's Night, The Bear Family has set their sights on partnering with other schools in the Hoffman Estates area.
"The teachers and everyone who rolled up their sleeves in support of this event" are the fabric that strengthens our community," Bear said.
