St. Theresa School Hosts Annual Senior Citizen Luncheon

The STS students and staff are excited to again host this years Senior Citizen Luncheon. Each year, the 5th and 6th grade students host the event which welcomes almost 200 seniors from Tamarack Retirement Residence, St. Joseph's Home and Plum Grove Residence. Students also invite grandparents, neighbors and friends as well as families from the Parish. Great raffle prizes and personalized place mats are made by the students and will be available for all guests! This event is open to all seniors and is complementary.

Palatine Mayor, Jim Schwantz will be calling out the first round of BINGO! The 5th grade students will host the entertainment which will include a variety of sketches and classic songs. Plenty of food will be made by parents and also donated by local merchants including Simply Delicious Catering.

"The spring theme senior event gives students an opportunity express compassion to our elderly and give back kindness to seniors in the community" says Mrs. Katy Ballard, 6th gr. teacher.
