American Heart Association Visits District 6
Laura Bursik, the regional American Heart Association (AHA) representative, and Chris DiGangi, American Ninja Warrior, visited District 6 to present on the importance of staying heart healthy. Students learned that in order to stay heart healthy, they need to stay active, drink water over sugary drinks, and be active for at least 60 minutes a day. During the month of April, all of District 6's elementary schools will be fundraising for the AHA to help children with sick hearts. Along with students raising money, they will also be rewarded for doing good deeds and continuing to stay active. With all their newly learned information, students were excited to start fundraising and help children in need of a healthy heart.
