Lake Zurich Road crossing in Barrington closing for repairs

Canadian National Railway will close its Lake Zurich Road crossing in Barrington starting at 9 a.m. Thursday.

Village officials said the closure is occurring due to CN deciding emergency repairs are needed at the crossing. Despite what signs in the area indicate, officials said, the closure should not last more than two days. The crossing possibly could reopen in the afternoon Friday, April 12.

Traffic will be rerouted west on Cuba Road to Route 59.
