A 28-year-old man Libertyville was seriously injured Monday when he leapt from his moving vehicle near Lake Bluff then plunged over an overpass onto railroad tracks 30 feet below.

Lake County Sheriff's police said Tuesday the man apparently was suffering a mental health crisis when the incident occurred about 6:10 p.m. Monday along Route 137 just east of Interstate 94.
