Eslick honored for 50 years at Baxter & Woodman

Baxter & Woodman Inc. in Crystal Lake recently honored Steve Eslick for 50 years of employment with the company.

Eslick, the company's longest-serving employee, is a computer-aided design designer who produces engineering design project drawings for the company's Water/Wastewater Group.

Eslick joined the firm in 1969. When he began, engineering drawings were created with paper and pencil on drafting tables. Throughout his career, he has experienced the transition from paper and pencil to electronic drawings using rudimentary drafting programs to the powerful, high tech AutoCAD software used today.

Eslick estimates he has provided CAD services for thousands of municipal improvement projects built throughout the Chicago area.

"Having an employee serve the company for 50 years is truly a milestone," said John V. Ambrose, president and CEO. "Steve's exceptional work throughout the decades and legacy knowledge of our company and our services is irreplaceable."

Eslick is a lifelong resident of Woodstock.
