Earth Day activities at Adler Center April 14

Volunteers are welcome to help beautify the grounds of the historic David Adler estate, 1700 N. Milwaukee Ave., and participate in a variety of environmentally-themed activities from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 14.

Besides the spring spruce up, Adler is partnering with the Solid Waste Agency of Lake County to collect new and gently used shoes, textiles and stuffed animals, glasses and hearing aids.

Planned activities include an environmental scavenger hunt, group recycled art installation, Lake County Forest Preserve District and Lake County Audubon Society booths, snacks and refreshments. Email damac@adlercenter.org or call (847) 367-0707 to RSVP.
