Police: Two shot, one fatally, in Montgomery home

A man died and a woman was injured Sunday in a shooting at a Montgomery home, police said.

Authorities responded to the 1900 block of Waverly Way for a report of a domestic incident, according to a news release on the Montgomery Police Department's Facebook page. Officers forced their way into the home, where they found a woman with a gunshot wound.

While clearing the residence, police also found an unresponsive man with a gunshot wound, authorities said. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman was taken to the hospital in an unknown condition, officials said.

Police say the shooting is an "isolated incident," and an investigation is ongoing.
