Grains higher, livestock lower

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Wednesday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery was up 12.5 cents at $4.7020 a bushel; May corn rose 1.6 cents at $3.6260 a bushel; May oats gained 8.6 cents at $2.862 a bushel; while May soybeans advanced 9.5 cents at 8.9920 a bushel.

Beef and pork were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Apr. live cattle was off .17 cent at $1.2620 a pound; Apr. feeder cattle fell 1.35 cent at $1.4457 a pound; Apr. lean hogs dropped .03 cent at .7882 a pound.
