Say 'no' to alcoholic ice cream

Do you want your kids to go into an ice cream shop that serves liquor-infused ice cream in downtown Naperville?

I disagree with the liquor commission's approval of a new liquor license classification in Naperville which would allow Chip VonLehman, a Kentucky resident, to open an alcoholic ice cream store named "Buzzed Bull Creamery" in downtown Naperville. I commend commissioners Scott Wehrli and Joe Vozar for voting "no"; however the other six commissioners voted "yes" allowing this to move forward.

The license would allow both alcoholic and nonalcoholic ice cream to be served to families. Customers could get 1.5 ounces or a double of 3 ounces of liquor added to their ice cream and mixed directly in front of the customers.

Ice cream is one of the last "innocent" treats that adults and children enjoy equally.
