Rolling Meadows police offering drug take-back event April 27

The Rolling Meadows Police Department will be participating in the National Take-Back initiative from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, April 27, officials announced.

The initiative will provide the public an opportunity to turn over expired, unwanted or unused pharmaceutical controlled substances and other medications. Studies show that a majority of abused prescription drugs are obtained from family and friends, including from the home medicine cabinet.

Drugs can be brought to the police department, 3600 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Liquid products, intravenous solutions and syringes will not be accepted. The service is free and anonymous, no questions asked.
