One dead after being struck by train near Glen Ellyn

One person was killed after being struck by a train Monday in an unincorporated area near Glen Ellyn, authorities said.

Deputies from the DuPage County Sheriff's Office were called to the intersection of Cumnor Avenue and Ellynwood Drive at 10:45 a.m. for a report that a pedestrian was struck by the Union Pacific Railroad train.
