Hear this: 'What to Expect' books coming out in audio

NEW YORK (AP) - Heidi Murkoff's "What to Expect" books, the million-selling series on pregnancy and parenting, will soon be available in audio for the first time.

Audible Inc., the Amazon.com-owned producer and distributor, is releasing the audio editions of three "What to Expect" books on May 7, within a week of Mother's Day. Murkoff will be the main narrator, and said in a statement Tuesday that recording the audio allowed her to address parents as if she "were right there next to them."

The three books coming next month are "What to Expect When You're Expecting," ''What to Expect the First Year" and "What to Expect Before You're Expecting." With the rise of digital technology, audio has been the fast-selling segment of the publishing industry over the past few years.
