Big Ten Network to air Hoiberg's introductory news conference at Nebraska at 3 p.m.
The Big Ten Network will air new Nebraska basketball coach Fred Hoiberg's introductory news conference at 3 p.m. today.
Holberg, who was fired as head coach of the Bulls last December, agreed to a seven-year, $25 million deal to direct the Cornhuskers late last week.
He will be the 11th-hightest paid college coach in the country and third-highest in The Big Ten, after Michigan State's Tom Izzo and Michigan's John Beilien.
Hoiberg has already announced the hiring of two assistants, including former aide Charlie Henry, who led the Windy City Bulls of Hoffman Estates to the G-League playoffs this season. Also on staff will be Matt Abdelmassih, who, like Henry, was an assistant when Hoiberg was head coach at Iowa State.
The Nebraska native was fired after a 41-month run as Bulls coach last Dec. 3 with a record of 115-155.
