Grains mostly higher, livestock mixed
CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were mixed Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for May delivery was up .40 cent at $4.60 a bushel; May corn fell 1 cent at $3.7220 a bushel; May oats was off .80 cent at $2.6560 a bushel; while May soybeans rose 2.80 cents at 8.92 a bushel.
Beef was higher and pork was lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
Apr. live cattle was up 2.92 cents at $1.2642 a pound; Mar. feeder cattle rose 3.52 cents at $1.4562 a pound; Apr. lean hogs fell 2.10 cents at .7825 a pound.
