Solid achievement in Lombard
I would like to take this opportunity to ask each and every voter of the Village of Lombard Trustee District 4 to come out on April 2 and vote for the incumbent, Bill Johnston.
I serve on the Village of Lombard's citizen advisory committee for Economic and Community Development that is chaired by Bill Johnston. Bill has performed admirably as committee chair, because he allows all points of view to be heard, gives each committee member the fullest opportunity to express their opinions, gives every citizen an ample opportunity to state their views and directs the committee's activities so each agenda item is thoroughly discussed and researched before a vote is taken.
Bill is not a professional politician but is a 35-year resident of Lombard who has consistently demonstrated a high degree of service to the Village of Lombard. He was park district volunteer for 13 years; coached 41 park district soccer teams; received the park district Character Counts award; was Sacred Heart Parish Council President for 10 years; raised $1.7 million in pledges and served on the Building/Design Committee for Sacred Heart School renovations; was the Sacred Heart Parish German Fest Committee Chairman for 20 years; and last but not least, served as the pole vaulting coach at Montini High School for 16 years.
As a village trustee, Bill has continually voted for balanced budgets; supported execution of the pedestrian bike path; established an official economic incentive policy that brought the village Mariano's, Thornton's and Yorktown Commons; and allocated $332,000 into downtown Lombard businesses.
Given this record of solid community public service your only choice for Village of Lombard District 4 village trustee should be Bill Johnston.
