Buffalo Grove Rotary Club Offering Community Grants

The Buffalo Grove Rotary Club is offering one-time Community Grants of up to $2,500 each to organizations that positively affect the Village and its inhabitants, through projects and initiatives that help Buffalo Grove to continue to be a great place to live and work. The grants are awarded for efforts that have the ability to provide visible, long-term, and sustainable benefits for the community and its members.

"It is a true privilege to provide support for organizations who are working toward having a real impact on the lives of real people in our community, many of which are underserved," said Deenie Pomilia, the grants committee chair. "This is one of the very important local initiatives that is both funded and sponsored by the Buffalo Grove Rotary."

Grant applications are due May 18, 2019 and can be downloaded at bgrotary.org. Applicants must state a clear mission for the organization and its proposed projects or initiatives, as well as have structured leadership. Charitable or non-profit organizations with a 501(c)(3) designation are encouraged to apply, though a nonprofit designation is not a requirement. Faith-based nonprofit organizations are also invited to apply, as along as proposed projects have the capacity to benefit the entire Buffalo Grove community.

Projects that would be funded by the grants must be initiated by the applying nonprofit organization, and contribute to Rotary's focus on community service, which includes those that improve life in the Buffalo Grove area.
