Grains, livestock higher

CHICAGO (AP) - Grain futures were higher Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery was up 13 cents at $4.7160 a bushel; May corn gained 7.2 cents at $3.7960 a bushel; May oats rose 8.2 cents at $2.842 a bushel; while May soybeans advanced 2.8 cents at 9.0720 a bushel.

Beef and pork were higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

Apr. live cattle was up .60 cent at $1.2962 a pound; Mar. feeder cattle gained 1.38 cents at $1.4360 a pound; Apr. lean hogs rose 3.15 cents at .7927 a pound.
