Girls soccer: Vages' 4 goals lift Lake Zurich

Tess Vages scored 4 goals, Haley Brousseau added a goal and 2 assists, and Lake Zurich's girls soccer team blanked visiting McHenry 7-0 in a nonconference match Wednesday.

Lake Zurich (2-1-1) also got goals from Abby DeGustino and Ashleigh Stanovich. Stanovich had an assist, as well, as did Cassidy Johnston.

Bears keepers Paige Grossenbacher and Maddie Zack each made 1 save in sharing the shutout.

Libertyville 1, Glenbrook North 0: Natalie Czajka scored off an assist from Savanna Winiecki in the first half for the Wildcats in the nonconference match.

Abby Noonan earned the shutout with 5 saves.

Prospect 3, Mundelein 0: Hannah Mekky, Tina Suto and Ashley Welk scored for the Knights in their nonconference win.

Annie Ninness notched the shutout.
