Naperville police offer burglary prevention tips

The Naperville Police Department is offering residents two opportunities this month to learn how to safeguard their possessions from would-be burglars.

Residents who attend either of two forums will learn prevention tips and have a chance to win a video doorbell.

Both forums will be held on Tuesday, March 26. The first will be from 1 to 2 p.m. at the 95th Street Library, 3015 Cedar Glade Drive. The second will be from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. in the council chambers at the Naperville Municipal Center, 400 S. Eagle St.

The doorbell winners will be responsible for installing and maintaining the doorbells and all associated fees.

The forums are part of the department's "A Safer Naper" campaign, which features a new safety theme each month. For details, visit www.naperville.il.us/asafernaper.
