Deer Park receives Tree City USA honor

Deer Park has been named a 2018 Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation for its commitment to effective urban forest management. Foundation officials said Deer Park met criteria, such as having a tree care ordinance and an annual forestry budget of at least $2 per capita. Deer Park also has an annual Arbor Day observance and proclamation.
