Palatine District 15 board approves hiring of two new principals
Palatine Township Elementary District 15 board members have approved the hiring of two principals for the 2019-20 academic year.
Winston Campus Elementary School Assistant Principal Marilynn Smith was elevated to the top post at the Palatine school. Smith has been the school's assistant principal the past two years and will take over for Andy Tieman, who has requested to return to the classroom as a teacher.
Faith Rivera was approved as principal of Frank C. Whiteley Elementary School in Hoffman Estates. Rivera will replace Michael Scaletta, who will become District 15's assistant director of special education for high incidence programs within the student services department.
