Durty Nellie's to be closed St. Patrick's Day weekend, but remains festival sponsor

While Durty Nellie's in downtown Palatine will be closed for St. Patrick's Day festivities this weekend as it tries to come back from a kitchen fire, it remains a presenting sponsor of the village's Paint the Town Green celebration.

"While it is a huge blow for us to have to be closed during the St. Patrick's Day Parade and following celebrations - our biggest day of the year - we invite everyone to come to downtown Palatine on Saturday, March 16 to 'Paint the Town Green' and enjoy the parade as well as the following festivities at other restaurants and bars in the downtown," said Durty Nellie's co-owner James Dolezal. "We're very proud to be the founder of this event and continue to be its presenting sponsor - despite our recent setbacks."

The partial reopening of Durty Nellie's, not including the kitchen, is projected by the end of March or early April.
