2 men charged with killing 3rd man found dead in forest

WABASH, Ind. (AP) - State police say two men have been charged with murder in the slaying of another man whose body was left in a northern Indiana forest.

Police say the body of 21-yearold Alexis Serrano was found at the Mississinewa State Forest in Wabash County last June 28. He had been reported missing three weeks earlier.

An autopsy determined his death a homicide, but police didn't say how he died.

Police say 36-year-old Jose Guadelupe Maya-Sandoval of Fort Wayne was arrested Friday during a traffic stop. He's being held in the Allen County Jail awaiting transfer to Wabash County. They say 33-year-old Gerardo Ruiz-Aviles of Indianapolis was served a warrant Tuesday at the New Castle Correctional Facility, where he's incarcerated on unrelated charges.

It wasn't clear whether either man has an attorney.
