Charges dismissed in 2018 Barrington ruse burglary case
Cook County prosecutors dropped charges against five men accused of burglarizing the home of an 87-year-old Barrington woman in April.
According to prosecutors, the woman died earlier this year, prompting them to dismiss charges against Beatle Miller of Arlington Heights, Walter Miller of Mount Prospect, Tom Miller of Arlington Heights, Anthony Miller of Des Plaines and Alan Ely of Mount Prospect.
The men had been accused of luring the woman out of her house to look at landscaping while some of them went inside.
The police say Walter and Beatle Miller are brothers, Tom Miller is Beatle Miller's son, and Anthony Miller is related to those three by marriage.
