How to sign up for Palatine scavenger hunt

Organizers for the ninth annual Paint the Town Green St. Patrick's Day celebration in Palatine will again host a scavenger hunt as part of the festivities and are seeking teams for the competition running from Saturday, March 16, to Tuesday, March 19.

Teams will take pictures and answer questions from provided clues at locations throughout the Palatine area. The winning team will receive a package filled with merchant goodies and a $200 cash prize.

Teams of two to six people can sign up for the scavenger hunt online at stpatspalatine.com/scavenger-hunt until Tuesday, March 12. Cost is $20 per team. The number of teams will be limited, and if any slots remain, teams can sign up on Saturday during the Paint the Town Green festivities at the American Legion.

Clues and a downloadable app will be available only at the American Legion, 122 W. Palatine Road, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Saturday. A wide variety of businesses are participating in the scavenger hunt.
