'Rocket Men' author Robert Kurson visits Batavia library March 18

This year's Batavia Public Library "One Book, One Batavia" selection is "Rocket Men: The Daring Odyssey of Apollo 8 and the Astronauts Who Made Mankind's First Journey to the Moon" by Robert Kurson.

New York Times bestselling author Robert Kurson will discuss his book on the Apollo 8 mission at 7 p.m. Monday, March 18, at the Batavia Public Library, 10 S. Batavia Ave.

The community is invited to join in this celebration of space exploration.

Kurson is the author of four New York Times bestselling books, including "Shadow Divers" and "Rocket Men." He began his career as an attorney, graduating from Harvard Law School, and practicing real estate law. His stories have appeared in Rolling Stone, The New York Times Magazine, and other publications. He lives in Chicago.

One Book, One Batavia is an annual community-wide reading program presented by the Batavia Public Library in cooperation with Batavia High School and co-sponsored by the Friends of the Batavia Public Library.
