GiGi's Playhouse to mark Down Syndrome Day March 21

Hoffman Estates-based GiGi's Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Centers, with 43 locations across the country and in Mexico, will be celebrating World Down Syndrome Day Thursday, March 21.

World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been observed since 2012.

The community is welcome to come see how GiGi's Playhouse leaves no one behind from 3 to 6 p.m. that day at its headquarters, 2350 W. Higgins Road in Hoffman Estates. In addition to the open house there will be a special balloon launch at 3:21 p.m.

The call to action is that all people with Down syndrome must have opportunities to live fulfilling lives, included on a full and equal basis with others, in all aspects of society.
