• Thursday, March 7 - Presentation on the village's ties to mobster Al Capone and the 1933 World's Fair with William Hazelgrove, 6 p.m. at the Fox River Grove Memorial Library, 407 Lincoln Ave.

• March 9 - Parks Fundraiser, 7 p.m. at Brunch Cafe, 935 Route 22

• April 8 - The History of Fox River Grove with Village President Robert Nunamaker, at McHenry County College

• April 13 - Easter egg hunt by Jaycees at Lions Park, 747 S. River Road

• April 20 - Easter egg hunt at Bettendorf Castle, 418 Concord Ave.

• May 27 - Memorial Day Parade

• The Fox River Grove Memorial Library is seeking residents' help and treasured mementos to grow the library's local history section, including Cary-Grove High School yearbooks, historical photos and signs, "Box River Groves" from favorite third-grade project at Algonquin Road School, old library paraphernalia, such as library cards and bookmarks, and storytellers for an "Old Timers' Club" event this fall.
