Man who tried to run over Palatine officers sentenced to prison

A 28-year-old Chicago man shot in the leg by Palatine police in 2016 after authorities say he tried to run over officers attempting to arrest him on a drug charge, was found guilty of felony possession of a firearm and aggravated assault of a police officer with a motor vehicle, prosecutors said.

Michael A. Douglas, of the 5000 block of W. Thomas St., was sentenced to 13 years in prison. He received credit for 984 days in custody, court records show.
