The Well in Geneva to hold services at Pheasant Run after wind damage

The Well church will be holding its services at Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles for the next month after winds Sunday severely damaged its Geneva building, the church said.

The church at 33W835 Cherry Lane sustained roof damage and potential structure damage. Lead Pastor Jerry Shaffer said the church has a long road ahead before the structure is accessible again.

"The building is officially closed. We need people to stay away as much as they possibly can," Shaffer said in a statement.

Both the 9 and 11 a.m. services will be in the New Orleans Ballroom at Pheasant Run Resort. The resort is at 4051 E Main St. in St. Charles.
