Actress Amber Tamblyn coming to Naperville

Actress and author Amber Tamblyn has become a voice for women in a changing age.

Her new book, "Era of Ignition: Coming of Age in a Time of Rage and Revolution," sheds light on experiences and how they expand to the larger culture at a time of resistance.

She'll discuss all that during an appearance sponsored by Anderson's Bookshop at 7 p.m. Friday, March 8, in North Central College's Pfeiffer Hall, 310 E. Benton Ave., Naperville.

Tamblyn will talk about her book, field questions and sign copies.

Tamblyn has been nominated for an Emmy, Golden Globe and Independent Spirit Award for her work in television and film, including "House M.D." and "The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants." Most recently, she wrote and directed the feature film "Paint It Black." She is the author of three books of poetry and a novel.
