Faith committee hosts Lunch and Learn

The Faith Committee of Lake County's Domestic Violence Council is hosting a free Lunch and Learn on Thursday, Feb. 28, 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Ray Bradbury Room of Waukegan Public Library, 128 N. County St., Waukegan. The Faith Committee's mission is to empower faith communities to intervene and act when family violence is encountered. Institutions of faith are equipped with tools to appropriately refer families to community resources. Areas of focus are child abuse, teen dating violence, domestic violence, elder abuse and sexual abuse/sexual assault. The efforts complement the Domestic Violence Council, chaired by Lake County State's Attorney Michael G. Nerheim. The program is open to anyone involved in an institution of faith. Register online at faithcommitteelunchandlearn2.eventbrite.com.
