Apply now for Villa Park Jr. Women's Club scholarship

The Villa Park Junior Women's Club is now accepting applications for its annual scholarship. Every year, the club sponsors a scholarship to benefit a female Villa Park student.

This scholarship promotes and rewards women's involvement in a variety of community service activities.

The club will be awarding two scholarships to high school seniors this year in the amount of $1,500 and $500.

The deadline to apply is no later than April 15, 2019 and access the downloadable application at vpjwc.org/scholarship.

The award recipients are determined based on their application and recommendations. This is not a scholarship awarded based on financial need.

Qualifications include being a current resident of Villa Park, high school senior status, a minimum 3.0/4.0 GPA, and have participated in a minimum of one community service activity for at least 2 years (can include current semester).

All applicants must provide two letters of recommendation excluding family members.

The scholarship will be awarded in the spring at the Senior Awards Night of the winners' school. The recipient must provide a valid Social Security number to accept the award.
