Zebra completes Temptime acquisition

LINCOLNSHIRE - Zebra Technologies Corp. said it has completed its acquisition of Temptime Corp., a privately-held developer and manufacturer of temperature monitoring solutions for mission-critical applications in the health care industry.

Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

Founded in 1987, New Jersey-based Temptime holds approximately 90 issued patents for its highly differentiated technology, which notifies users if medical and biological products and shipments have experienced a temperature deviation. Temptime's product portfolio meets strict specifications of the largest global health organizations' vaccination programs.

Zebra announced its plans to acquire Temptime in January.
