Property tax truths
Nobody likes to pay taxes. We do like the things they buy though. Well-maintained streets, police and fire protection being among those services. What we do not need is fake news. We would all be better off if people did not blindly pass on fake messages from their email box or Facebook. Before you push the button check it out first.
The fact is that Illinois is not the No. 2 worst for property taxes. According to the website taxrates.org we are nO. 6. With No. 1 being New Jersey, 2 New Hampshire, 3 Texax, 4 Nebraska and 5 being Wisconsin. At the bottom of the list is Louisiana.
