Go Gurnee to step off in Mettawa Saturday

The Gurnee Park District is hosting another Go Gurnee walk Saturday morning at the Captain Daniel Wright Woods Forest Preserve.

Go Gurnee is a community walking initiative that began three years ago and has since expanded to many communities across Lake County. The program encourages residents to walk in their neighborhood for 30 minutes every day.

The Captain Daniel Wright Woods Forest Preserve is at 24830 N. St. Marys Road in Mettawa. The group will meet at 9:30 a.m. at the stop sign where N. St. Mary's and W. Everett roads meet. If the weather is bad the group will meet in front of Floor & Decor inside Gurnee Mills instead.
