Palatine's annual State of the Village scheduled for Feb. 27

Palatine's annual State of the Village gathering is set for Feb. 27. All are welcome to attend the free program sponsored by the Palatine Area Chamber of Commerce at village hall, 200 E. Wood St.

Palatine Mayor Jim Schwantz and other village officials will be featured in presentations that'll include key community updates and a summary of goals for 2019.

"This event provides a unique and important opportunity for the village to communicate directly with our residents and our business community members," Schwantz said.

Doors will open at 7:30 a.m., with the program going from 8-9 a.m. The State of the Village address originally was scheduled for Jan. 30, but was moved to Feb. 27 due to last month's record-breaking cold.
