Lincolnshire police, Stevenson High staff team for active shooter training
Over the course of two days this month, Lincolnshire police and trained personnel from Stevenson High School instructed high school staff members on ALICE active shooter training.
ALICE, which stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter and Evacuate, is intended to improve the chances of survival in an active shooter situation. The two-day instruction included one part of a series of training pieces developed for school personnel.
In news release Wednesday about the training, police say they and Stevenson officials strongly believe having an increased level of preparedness will empower school staff to handle intense emergency situations.
