Rittal names Freund managing director for U.S.

Rittal North America LLC in Schaumburg welcomes Mike Freund as managing director.

He will lead an executive team responsible for the growth of the business as well as the company's operations, manufacturing, sales and administrative functions.

Prior to joining Rittal, Freund was director of technical sales, support and training at Schneider Electric. He held various leadership roles across several departments and locations at Schneider, where he worked for more than 30 years. He started his career as a general salesperson in his hometown of Pittsburgh for Square D Company, which was later bought by Schneider.

Freund has been responsible for starting new business initiatives, overseeing operational success, and growing business with his in-depth experience within the industrial equipment market including controls and automation.

Freund earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Virginia Tech and is a certified energy manager through the Association of Energy Engineers.
