Schaumburg Library invites teens to job fair

The annual Teen Job Fair will take place from 1-3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, at the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Road, Schaumburg.

Representatives from local and national businesses looking for new employees or seasonal help will provide information and answer questions. Teens ages 15-19 will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with professionals for help with resumes, cover letters and interview tips.

"The library is grateful to all the businesses participating in the Teen Job Fair," said Anna Pederson, high school outreach librarian. "Their involvement provides teens with valuable job opportunities and great insight on entering the workforce."

Businesses and organizations participating in the job fair include Schaumburg Township Library, Schaumburg Boomers, Pool Guards, Inc., SportsKids Inc., Hoffman Estates Park District, Schaumburg Park District, St. Hubert's Job Ministry, Northwest Special Recreation Association, Goodwill, McDonald's, Hoffman Estates Chamber of Commerce, Carpenter's Union, Main Event, Congressman Raja Krishnamoorthi's office, Aqua Guard Management, Inc., and Harper College.
