Aaron scores 28 points to lead USC women to win

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Shalexxus Aaron had career highs 28 points and six 3-pointers and USC used a big second half to roll past Washington 82-57 on Friday night.

Aaron, a redshirt freshman, was 10-of-14 shooting. She scored nine points in the third quarter when USC (12-8, 2-7 Pac-12) shot 10 of 14 and outscored the Huskies 25-13 to take control and added 12 more points in the fourth. Kayla Overbeck scored a season-high 17 points. Minyon Moore added 13 points and 12 assists for her eighth career double-double.

Darcy Rees scored a career-high 20 points to lead the Huskies (8-14, 1-9), who have lost six straight. Mai-Loni Henson added 14. Amber Melgoza, the Huskies' season scoring leader, finished with three points in 18 minutes.

USC scored the final seven points of the half to take the lead for good, 34-31.

The Trojans made 17 steals, six by Aliyah Mazyck, and scored 30 points off 24 Washington turnovers. They shot 59 percent.
