Trump's true motive

I continue to read hateful comments about the president. The haters label him a jerk and say that everything that President Donald Trump does is to benefit himself. I strongly disagree.

Before becoming president, Donald Trump had been a popular celebrity billionaire businessman. Mr. Trump knew that by becoming a Republican president that he would lose more than he would gain.

It all reminds me of back in 1972 when my father took me to look for a car. The salesman told me that I was too young to own the big Cadillac that I was wanting to buy. The car salesman told me that a young man like me ought to own a smaller, more economical car. I later told my dad that I thought that the car salesman was a jerk.

My father then explained to me that the car salesman's motive was to help his customer … not to build his commission.

I think the evidence is overwhelming that Mr. Trump's motive is to help his country … not to build his personal wealth.
