Lake Zurich wins again, edges Zion-Benton

Lake Zurich 39, Zion-Benton 36: Ella Gilbertson scored 13 points, Maddy Piggott added 12, and the visiting Bears knocked the Zee-Bees out of a first-place tie in the North Suburban Conference.

Margueret Spear had 10 points for Lake Zurich (14-13, 8-4), which won for the sixth time in its last seven games.

Both Lake Zurich and Zion-Benton (7-4) trail co-leaders Libertyville (8-3) and Lake Forest (8-3) by one loss in the NSC. Lake Zurich hosts Libertyville on Friday night.
