Classical pianist to perform at Barrington's White House

As a part of the Barrington White House's spring season of events, pianist Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner will perform at the White House on Sunday, Feb. 3, at 3 p.m.

This 21-year-old pianist has been praised for his "poetic, electrifying and masterful technique" and has been declared a "gifted virtuoso." He was named a Gilmore Young Artist, recognizing him as one of the most promising young American pianists, and was selected for 2018's Yale School of Music's prestigious Artist Diploma program.

Notable also for his tremendous humanitarian efforts, Sanchez-Werner received the Atlantic Council Young Global Citizen Award and has performed on CNN International and at the U.S. Embassy in Paris, helping to strengthen ties within the international community as well.

Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner's performance will include works by Rachmaninoff, Prokofiev, and Tatum and Berlin, followed by Schubert and Stravinsky after a brief intermission.

"It is an honor to bring such a prestigious young artist as Llewellyn Sanchez-Werner to Barrington," said Barrington's White House Cultural Director Rollin Potter. "Having the privilege to witness such artistry on this intimate stage will be breathtaking."

All guests are welcome to attend a complimentary reception following the performance.
