Suburban Chicago volleyball coach faces child porn charges
WHEATON, Ill. (AP) - The director of a suburban Chicago volleyball club is accused of videotaping patrons of the facility.
Michael Liedtke of Streamwood has been charged with possession of child pornography and unauthorized videotaping. The 34-year-old has been ordered held in lieu of $250,000 bail in the DuPage County Jail.
DuPage County prosecutors say police responding Monday to a report of unauthorized videotaping at the training academy found a camera hidden in above the ceiling tile in a bathroom. The camera was connected to a computer found in Liedtke's office.
DuPage Training Academy Jeff Kramer says Liedtke has rented space there for roughly four years but has no affiliation with the facility.
Liedtke was ordered to stay away from the DuPage Training Academy and have no contact with children younger than 18 if he is able to post bond. It wasn't immediately known if he has legal representation.
